Winter Walk to Lucifer Falls

Have you ever seen 115-feet-high Lucifer Falls frozen over? You can’t drive to the overlook on the Rim Trail at Robert H. Treman State Park southeast of Ithaca, NY. You need to walk for about 15 minutes on the Rim Trail to the spectacular view back toward Lucifer Falls. This is the only section of the Rim Trail that is open in the winter, and the Gorge Trail, which passes right next to the waterfall, is closed for the season. In this episode (184) of Walk in the Park, Tony Ingraham takes you on a guided walk to this memorable spot for a truly unusual view: Lucifer Falls completely clad in ice!
