“Lake Mist Mystery,” Finger Lakes Park Minute 75

This Finger Lakes Park Minute features video from Keuka Lake State Park in Branchport, NY. “Frosty autumn mornings sometimes raise a mist on the Finger Lakes. The lakes release residual heat from the past summer as warm vapor into the chill air above, condensing to form a cloud that rises with the sun and dissipates with the morning. The slow release of the lake’s heat moderates the climate of the lake’s valley.”

Park Minute is produced by Tony Ingraham, Owl Gorge Productions, Ithaca, NY. Ingraham also produces Walk in the Park, a weekly public access TV series in Ithaca. You can see all of his Park Minute and Walk in the Park episodes.
